The London City Stars is the capital’s only competitive co-ed adult cheerleading squad. Co-ed meaning we are comprised of both male and female athletes.
Now in its fourth year, the all-star cheer squad competes at USASF level four, while LCS stunt groups perform in level five and level six divisions.
LCS hold national titles for cheer and all-girl stunt group, and compete with both the International Cheerleading Coalition (ICC) and Future Cheer (FC).
Lorretta Husbands took the helm at LCS in February 2009, joining the squad as Head Coach after cheering for more than 10 years with the Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders. Lorretta is a qualified coach and a certified judge, and she has represented British cheerleading around the world.
Joey Gamper, who co-founded the squad alongside fellow professional dancer Jasmine Crowsley, is also a qualified cheer coach. Joey remains at LCS where she serves as Programme Director, working closely with Lorretta and the LCS general committee in the day-to-day running of the squad.
